About Gyu-kaku Japanese BBQ

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Atlanta; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Georgia are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Chubby Cattle tastes better and has much better sides. The best tasting item here was the karage funny enough.

Masai was super sweet, attentive, and good energy. I got garlic noodles with chicken, delish! You gotta jazz the noodles up a little bit with the sweet soy and ponzu sauce. The Japanese kaarage chicken, yum! And spring rolls πŸ₯° my first time here was really good!

Food was great. Server was not. Three people ate and tip was included in bills - little over 18%. But that is okay. But the server. She was very rude One of the worst server I met. Very condescending and very few times she came to serve our needs. Oh, she was quick and proactive bringing bills. She stood right back at me watching me signing it. I don’t normally leave reviews like this long, detailed frequently but last night’s experience was worth mentioning. Unprofessional attitude at its maximum, undermining other staffs’ friendliness. Not coming back because of this one single rude server.

Food is always great, I’ve been to the restaurant since 2023. Definitely a staple when coming to Atlantic Station. I always recommend to everyone and so far not one bad reviews. My favorite waiter is my boy Steve he’s very patient, fast, & communicative.

I really enjoyed the nice interior and convenient location of Gyu Kaku. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better, and the prices are very reasonable for the experience. The only downside was the seasoning. I found the meat to be a bit too sweet or salty at times. However, the overall vibe was great, and I would love to come back sometime!
